Barrier Forest

The Barrier Forest, a vast, mist-shrouded expanse of tree stretching north and west of Nimdenthal always had a reputation as a dark and haunted place where monsters lurk, and entire patrols occasionally vanish into its depth.

However, in the last year groups of corpses have been found in the forest manacled to trees, with the victims presumably having died of exposure. Furthermore, the corpses were warded against scrying, preventing others from finding them until after a month had passed, thus preventing their resurrection. The authorities believe that a druidic cult is responsible, but using iron manacles do seem unusual for those.
