Like The District, Duriam regards itself as the center of Calfron - but not of finance or politics, but of the social life of the city. It is here where the rich and powerful go shopping, have splendid representative buildings, and throw the most spectacular parties imaginable - affairs whose pomp and splendor the lower classes can only speculate on. Anyone who is anyone maintains a town house here which is meticulously cared for by an army of servants, and getting an invitation to the biggest parties is a sure sign that you have "arrived" on the Calfronsocial scene.
Perhaps not too surprising, most embassies of foreign cities are located in this borough, and their presence only adds an additional layer of intrigue to the many schemes going on behind the scenes.
